Dries in 24 hours and will be odorless and fully cured in 72 hours. </p><p align="left" class="content"><strong>Product Size &amp; Other Notes <br /></strong>Made by Atsko; 12 fluid ounce aerosol spray can. </p><p align="left" class="content"><strong>Recommendations: <br /></strong>Silicone Water Guard by Sno-Seal is one of the best spray-on waterproofing products available. We have used it on tents, clothing, and boots.</p><p align="left" class="content">Though not a fan of spray-on silicone waterproofing, sometimes it&rsquo;s the only thing that will work to waterproof your gear. For example, if you need to waterproof a nylon tent, it really is the only sensible option. If you still have an old canvas tent there are some other, very messy options available, but spraying is so much easier that you should probably opt for it regardless. Also, to refresh the waterproofing on a winter coat, or a nylon shell, it really is hard to beat the convenience and results from this product.</p><p align="left" class="content">To use it on fabric, work OUTSIDE, on a very calm day. Use of this product indoors for anything of any size is not recommended, it really will fill the inside air and make it extremely uncomfortable if not actually mess up other items that you wouldn&#39;t want to use this product on; so take it outside. Begin by shaking well, (usually common sense for aerosols and such) and try to spray evenly, although you will find that spraying too close to the object will almost certainly give streaks with too much coverage. If this happens, just hold the can farther away when spraying, but if there is even a slight breeze it will be difficult to get the product onto the item you are spraying. In any case, let the silicone sink into the fabric and dry. Once it is dry and has had a couple of days to &ldquo;cure,&rdquo; the odor should be almost undetectable, at least from any distance.</p><p align="left" class="content">You can expect good results with this product on nylon tents. It will enhance the ability of the tent to keep you dry inside through several hard rainstorms and a lot of packing and unpacking of the tent. <br /></p><p align="left" class="content">The results on clothing are somewhat mixed; it will help a garment that is already water-repellent be even more so, but to just spray a nylon jacket and expect it to be waterproofed is a stretch. In this situation it will likely be ok for one good heavy soaking, but then you&rsquo;ll have to re-apply.</p><p align="left" class="content">Using it on boots is another matter. We personally prefer rub-on, oil based waterproofing for boots for a number of reasons, but if you have suede or fabric boots, you will have really no other option than to use either a liquid wax, or a spray. Once you make a choice which to use you should not change later because you won&rsquo;t get good results with either one from that point forward. Again, stick with either the spray OR the wax but not both.</p><p align="left" class="content">Make sure your boots are clean BEFORE you begin and spray the dry boots thoroughly, then let them dry completely after spraying before wearing again. The only downside to spray is that you will likely have to re-apply after any significant exposure to water, spray just doesn&rsquo;t hold up on boots.</p><p align="left" class="content">We personally have tried several brands of silicone spray over the years and the Sno-Seal by Atsko is the best so far.
